Sea of Conquest: Pirate War

The Season System

Overview

The season system is the foundational structure of the game world in Sea of Conquest: Pirate War. The game comprises five seasons (S1–S5), each introducing a distinct sea map with new content, heroes, cooking recipes, and gameplay mechanics. Each season takes a player roughly one to three months to complete, with progress gated primarily by the player account's UID level.

A defining feature of this system is asynchronous progression: new players always begin in Season 1, while veteran players may already be operating in later seasons. Different players on different servers therefore experience the seasonal timeline at different points simultaneously.

The Blue Breach: Portal to the Next Season

Progression between seasons occurs through Blue Breaches, portal-like gateways that appear on the sea map once Season 1 concludes on a given server. Sailing into a Blue Breach transports the player to the map of the next season. Traveling back through the breach returns the player to their home server's S1 sea.

Important restriction: Sea transitions via Blue Breaches are only permitted during the first 10 minutes of each hour. Travel attempts outside this window are blocked.

Season-Specific Heroes

Heroes in Sea of Conquest carry a season designation (e.g., S1, S2, S3) indicating which season they were introduced in or are primarily associated with. This label informs players at what stage of progression a given hero becomes relevant or accessible.

New Ingredients and Recipes per Season

The Galley aboard the player's ship enables cooking from collected ingredients. Each new season introduces unique ingredients found in those seas, which unlock new recipes. Recipes are ranked in five tiers: C, B, A, S, and S+.

Server Transfer

From Season 2 onward, players may change their home server. This option is located in the Season Menu under the Transfer tab. The following conditions apply:

  • The Flagship must have reached at least level 10.
  • The player must not be a member of a Gang.
  • The player must not belong to any squad.
  • Transfer is only possible to servers currently matched in the same season.

Tips

  • Tip: Stay in S1 as long as practical before entering the Blue Breach — lower seas have less PvP pressure and give you time to build a strong foundation.
  • Tip: Secure key heroes and ships in your inventory before transitioning to a new season; resources and territory reset, but inventory items persist.
  • Tip: Only attempt to pass through a Blue Breach in the first 10 minutes of any hour — outside that window, the transition is locked.
  • Tip: Wait until your Flagship reaches level 10 before considering a season transition, as this is also the prerequisite for a server transfer.
  • Tip: Cook regularly in the Galley, since season-specific recipes require ingredients from their respective seas and cannot be made with S1 materials alone.
  • Tip: Higher seasons offer significantly more Gold on trade routes (2x to 3x), but also far more intense PvP competition from experienced players and powerful Gangs.
