Emeralds: Free-to-Play Guide

Overview

Emeralds are the premium currency in Sea of Conquest and must be spent with care, as they are not freely available in large quantities. They are used primarily to summon heroes through the Lucky Draw system, but can also be spent on speed-ups, gang founding, and purchases in the Rock Merchant shop.

For free-to-play (F2P) players, a strategic approach to collecting and spending Emeralds is critical. Misspending Emeralds means losing valuable progression opportunities — smart spending allows a player to remain competitive without real-money purchases.

Monthly F2P Emerald Estimate

While exact figures depend on activity level and current events, an approximate monthly total for an active F2P player can be estimated:

SourceEstimated Monthly Income
Weekly Daily Tasks (×4 weeks)~160 Emeralds
Daily AFK Trial Rewards~150–300 Emeralds
Squad Raids (daily)~200–600 Emeralds
Event Milestones (ongoing)~100–300 Emeralds
Promo Codes (average)~50–100 Emeralds
Cooking Catalog (progress)~50–100 Emeralds (variable)
Total (Estimate)~710–1,560 Emeralds/month

This estimate shows that consistent F2P players can earn roughly 700–1,500 Emeralds per month — enough for several Echo Conch summons or occasional speed-up purchases.

Best Uses for Emeralds: Priority Ranking

Priority RankUseReason
1Hero Summoning (at pity)Legendary heroes are the single greatest power multiplier; never waste pulls
2Speed-Ups for flagship upgradesFlagship level gates all content; long timers make Emerald speed-ups high-value
3Rock Merchant offers (rare materials)Specific rare items only available here; evaluate each offer carefully
4Gang FoundingOne-time cost; pays off for long-term active leaders
5Speed-Ups for research (long timers only)Only worthwhile for timers exceeding several hours
6Ship upgradesSituational; lower priority than heroes or flagship

Tips

  • Save Emeralds exclusively for hero summons: Heroes are the most important growth factor in Sea of Conquest. Never spend Emeralds on minor conveniences when a strong hero is within reach of the pity system.
  • Wait for the pity system (80 pulls): On Limited Recruitment banners, a Legendary hero is guaranteed within 80 Hymn Conches. Accumulate 80 Hymn Conches before pulling for guaranteed results.
  • Link your account to all 3 channels: FunPlus, Facebook, and Google each award 100 Emeralds as a one-time bonus — a total of 300 Emeralds for just a few minutes of setup.
  • Claim your daily AFK Trial rewards: These Emeralds do not expire, but are only earned if you claim them regularly. Never neglect this passive source.
  • Redeem promo codes immediately: Codes expire quickly. Follow Sea of Conquest official social media channels and the Discord server to avoid missing any codes.
  • Avoid equipment upgrades below Legendary Level 12: Enhancing equipment below this threshold wastes Emeralds and resources. Wait until you have Level 12 Legendary gear.
  • Do not use Emeralds on short construction timers: Speed-ups paid for with Emeralds are only worthwhile for very long build or research timers (flagship level, key buildings). Never spend Emeralds to skip timers of a few minutes.
  • Use event milestones consistently: Every ongoing event has milestones with Emerald rewards. Open the Events tab regularly and complete tasks even when they are not your main focus.
